Are you tired of logging in to your email only to find an inbox full of new emails with 99% of them being notifications from Facebook Groups? Want to stop receiving those notifications by email? The process is as simple as 1-2-3.

First, login to Facebook and head over to the Facebook Group page in which you want to stop receiving email notifications from.

Simply mouse over to the “Notifications” drop down menu on the right.

Go ahead and click on “Settings”.

Once you click on “Settings” a pop up window will appear. Where it says to “Also send an email to:”, uncheck the check box which will stop group notifications from being emailed to you. Be sure to click “Save Changes“. Congratulations you are done. You will now not receive those annoying group notification emails.

Turn of all group emails at once

If you would like to turn of all group emails at once, instead of doing it group by group as in this case, on the same pop-up window, simply click on the “edit your notifications settings” link. Go to Groups and click “Edit”, then click on “Change email settings for individual groups”. A pop up window should appear with your group listing. Uncheck those in which you would like not not receive email notifications then click “Save”. Comments are appreciated, let me know if you were able to disable emailed group notifications.

Scheduling Facebook Status Updates to be Posted Later using LaterBro.com

We all know how to post status updates on our Facebook profiles, but now there’s a service called Later Bro that allows you to schedule a status update on Facebook ahead of time. For example, say you want to pre-schedule a status update Birthday greeting for a friend who’s Birthday is officially at midnight because you want to officially be the first person but you don’t want to wait until then to post it because you have to go to sleep. With Later Bro you can schedule such status updates and even set them within 15 minutes time, within 2 hours time, daily or even yearly!

To get started go to the Later Bro website and first you’ll be prompted to connect your Facebook Profile to the Later Bro application. Next you’ll be asked to set your Time zone which you’ll only have to do once.

Once you’ve set your time zone you’ll be brought to the LaterBro interface in which you can begin scheduling your status updates.

You can schedule your status updates by time and date, you can also choose to re-post the status update daily, every other day, weekly, every other week, monthly or yearly.

You’ll never miss a family or friend Birthday greeting with this application! One drawback is the application link is shown on the status update once it’s posted so if your friends or family find out what the application is, they’ll know you pre-scheduled that Birthday or Happy Anniversary Greeting. It’s the thought that counts right?

Later Bro can also be used for Twitter as well but if you already have your Twitter and Facebook connected then you wouldn’t have to tweet the same message and vice versa. Have fun and Later Bro!

Facebook Trick – Translate your Facebook Profile into Pirate English

This easy trick will make your friends scratch their heads when viewing your Facebook profile. This Facebook trick will translate your Facebook profile into Pirate English. Don’t worry you can easily turn it back to regular English whenever you choose so. Also, for this trick a 3rd Party application will not be used, this is a trick already included within Facebook and created by them for your personal amusement.

First scroll to the bottom of your Facebook page and click on the language link, in my case the link is English (US).

A pop up window will appear with all the different languages you can select from. Click on English (US) and from there select English (Pirate). That’s all there is to it, your Facebook profile has now been translated to Pirate English.

If you also noticed, there’s also an option to turn your Facebook profile upside down. Click on English (Upside Down) which is right below English (Pirate) to make the links and certain parts of your profile upside down.

Do you have a Twitter and Facebook account? Did you know you can connect the two to enable posting status updates/tweets to both websites at the same time? Now you can save yourself the trouble of logging in to both accounts to post the same message.

To connect Twitter and Facebook login to your Facebook account and head to the Twitter app page. You can either search for “twitter” on Facebook, however this brings about hundreds of unofficial Twitter pages or you can go directly to their official Facebook app page:

http://www.facebook.com/apps/application.php?id=2231777543

Click on “Go to App” button.

You’ll come across a “Request for Permission” page, click on the “Allow” button to proceed.

You’ll come across another connection permissions page, click once more on the “Allow” button.

Finally you’ll come upon a page confirming that you’re Facebook and Twitter accounts are connected. You can opt to have your Twitter to post your “Facebook Page” or “Facebook Profile” page or both.

Note that Twitters that are @replies and Twitter messages will not be posted on your Facebook account.

Congratulations you have now connected your Facebook and Twitter accounts.
